A 3-Day Wānanga for Wāhine Navigating Mental Distress and Hormonal Transition

Proudly supported by the Mental Health Foundation through the Top Up Community Grants Fund.

This wānanga has been created for wāhine experiencing mental distress, emotional overwhelm, hormonal change, and the wider shifts of ruahinetanga.

Together we will explore practical tools, cultural understanding, and embodied practices to support wāhine through this transition.

Day One – Intergenerational Healing & Understanding

Open to Māmā, Daughters, and Hāpū Māmā

We begin by exploring:

The role of wāhine across generations

Birth, whare tangata, and intergenerational experiences

How trauma, stress, and disconnection move through whakapapa

Supporting mothers and daughters through healing together

Day Two – Understanding Mental Distress & Practical Tools

We explore:

Hormonal shifts and emotional wellbeing

Nervous system regulation

Metabolic and lifestyle supports

Practical ways to ease mental distress in everyday life

Day Three – Integration & Release

We close with:

Reflection and release practices
